God’s Big Family

How to study the whole Bible as a family

Family Bible study doesn’t need a curriculum binder or an hour every night. Ten to twenty minutes, one story at a time, is enough to walk through all 66 books together and see how every part fits into one story.

A simple rhythm for each sitting

Every family time follows the same five steps, so everyone knows what comes next — whether your household is one person, a couple, a family with young children, or several generations.

  1. 1. Read

Read the passage aloud together, verse by verse, in the World English Bible.

  2. 2. Talk

Answer simple questions drawn straight from the words you just read — easy enough for kids, deep enough for adults.

  3. 3. Pray

Close with a short prayer that grows out of the passage.

  4. 4. Live it

Pick one small way to put the story into practice this week, like serving, forgiving, or welcoming someone.

  5. 5. Remember

Learn a memory verse together, a few words at a time.

Read the Bible as one story in ten parts

Families often get lost jumping between books. Following the Bible’s storyline — from the garden to the new creation — helps everyone, especially kids, know where they are and why each passage matters.
