By creating an account or using God’s Big Family, you agree to these terms. Please read them — especially the sections on disclaimers, limitation of liability, and resolving disputes.
1. Using the service
- Accounts must be created by an adult (18+) who is responsible for how their household uses the app.
- Keep your sign-in details private and let us know about any unauthorized use.
- Don’t misuse the service: no scraping, reverse-engineering, automated abuse, attempts to break security, or using Ask the Guide to create harmful content.
2. Statement on AI in our materials
Scripture is never AI-written. All Bible text is the World English Bible (public domain), shown word for word.
AI helped create supporting materials. We used AI tools to help draft illustrations, story context backgrounds, discussion questions, toddler retellings, prayers, and activities. These materials are reviewed and curated, but they may still contain mistakes. When anything seems off, trust Scripture first — and please tell us.
Illustrations are artistic. Artwork imagines settings and people; it is not a historical record of what anyone looked like.
Ask the Guide is an AI assistant. It is not a pastor, counselor, or theological authority. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong. Use it to spark curiosity and conversation, and weigh everything against Scripture and wise people you trust.
3. Not professional advice
Content in God’s Big Family — including emotional health guides, the feelings wheel, and parenting conversation tips — is for spiritual encouragement and education only. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice, and it does not replace care from a qualified professional.
If you or someone you love is in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 (U.S.) or call 911 right away. Links to outside counselors or directories are provided for convenience; we do not endorse or supervise any particular provider.
4. Our content and yours
The app’s design, original writing, and artwork belong to God’s Big Family and are licensed to you for personal, family, non-commercial use. You may print materials for your own household. Anything you type stays yours; you give us permission to process it only to run the service.
5. Outside websites
We link to other sites (Bible tools, commentaries, counseling directories, crisis lines). We aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
6. Subscriptions
If paid plans are offered, pricing, trial length, renewal, and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you purchase. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period.
7. Service “as is”
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, God’s Big Family and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made based on app content or AI responses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
9. Indemnity
You agree to hold God’s Big Family harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
10. Resolving disputes peacefully
We believe disagreements among believers and neighbors should be settled in peace (Matthew 18:15–17; 1 Corinthians 6:1–8). So before any formal action:
- Talk first. Contact us and give us 30 days to try to make it right.
- Christian mediation. If unresolved, both sides agree to mediation following the principles of Christian conciliation, with a mutually agreed mediator.
- Binding arbitration. If mediation fails, the dispute will be decided by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, except for small-claims matters.
No class actions. You and we each agree to bring claims only individually, not as part of a class or group action, and both waive the right to a jury trial, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Ending use
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or threaten the safety of others.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do; continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which God’s Big Family is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
